teambuilding weekend

Assalamu'alaikum...the weekend before last I went to Port Dickson with my colleagues for some team-building activities. Even though it was just for the weekend, it was one unforgettable experience! Before meeting up with the rest of the HR people from the operating companies, we stopped by Telok Kemang to meet up with Kak Lynda, Kak Ila, Nurul and Abg Khaizal. I came with Kar Fai, Reena and Melissa. Then we headed for Guoman, which was our meeting place with the other party. We were then brought to our accommodation, which was something like an army camp, but more of resort for the army. It was a "nice" place, well guarded and safe. But to our misfortune, there was no running water inside our chalet/house. So we had to make due with what we had. Bring water from outdoors to indoors so that everyone gets a chance at bathing! :P Dinner was great coz the grilled/BBQued lamb was scrumptious!!! Yum yum yum...just couldn't get enough of it! :D After dinner we had some fun teambuilding activities. :)

The next morning before breakfast we did some light exercise and started walking by the beach towards Tanjung Tuan for some jungle trekking. It was a trek to remember. After going uphill towards the lighthouse, we came down to the seashore and prepared to go back to our chalet for breakfast. But alas, the tide was still high. Instead of waiting, the guide said we should climb back and go down through a different route. Ya Allah...climb back up?! You've got to be kidding me! But rather than staying by the seashore and doing anything, we might as well just get to our feet and walk back up. It was discovered that the alternate route was long and slippery and exhausting. Imagine doing all this without a morsel of food in our stomachs! Sigh...frankly speaking, I thought we were never getting out of that jungle. But we made it. We left the chalet at about 7:30am...and we got back to the chalet at 11:30am...for breakfast. Hahahahaha...What a day!

It was a tiring weekend, but a fun one. :) Wassalam...
